feature requests

I was going to request adding a play button in the Cue List window so you could highlight any cue in the list and start playback from there to the next cue. Then I found that you can do the same thing by pressing Ctrl-J during playback (outside of the Cue List window). But I still think it would be ...

We don't want to insert silence, we want to remove it. AutoCue sets too many cue points. It tends to set a cuepoint at the end of a song AND at the beginning of the next one. For spiltting songs, we just want a cuepoint at the start of each song. The feature he is asking for is to highlight several ...

I am digitizing all my cassettes and I have run into the same problem with one tape. I agree with the other comment: it was probably caused by exposure to magnetics. Play back the cassette and watch it while listening. If possible, make a mark on one of the "gear" wheels so you can follow ...

new feature request

My son has been using GoldWave for several hours a day, converting all my vinyl and cassettes to MP3s. (Yes, I'm paying him :) ) I asked him if he has any feature requests, and he said just this one: Allow to select multiple different sections in a sound file at the same time. For example, he would ...

This sounds like a job for MultiQuence, the other product from GoldWave. I used it to mix audio and video for a music video I made. It is a great program too.

feature requests

I looked all over for the proper place to post feature requests and I couldn't find it. Sorry if I missed it. Here are my requests: 1) The "Batch Processing" dialog does not have any accelerator keys on any of the buttons, like most other dialogs do. It would be great if you could add them...

I just found another CD with the same noise problem, but only on track #5 out of 10. This CD is from 1986 as well. I wonder if they were using an inferior manufacturing process in the early days of CDs and now, about 18 years later, the discs are degrading or rotting or whatever. I generally take ve...

the 2nd disc has a handful of pinholes scattered around the surface where light shows through. Bingo. The holes cause major errors, but error-correction allows the song to continue, with degraded sound quality. Don't know about your other disc. Well, I understand that, but there are only about 5 pi...

What is the CD? Maybe one of us has a copy and we can tell you if ours is OK. You could also check to see if there are any customer reviews on Amazon.com or CDuniverse.com. Another possibility is that you have a bootleg copy. In that case it could be a bad "analog" copy from an LP or some...

:( The distortion probably came from the original recording. Damaged CDs might cause a tick, click, or skippiing, but not distortion. I'm not too sure about that. I have two CDs that were fine when I first got them, but now they are very distorted. It is not scratches - I had them resurfaced but th...
