The stoppage occurs in all codecs and formats, no exceptions. On an unrelated issue, I have never been able to get XviD to work with Multiquence. The XviD encoder window comes up but it just stops. I use the Koepi binaries downloaded from xvid.org. Killing that process also completely kills the Mult...

TTD
That's Test To Destruct. Anyway, I've been running tests all weekend (mine is Friday and Saturday). I found the following: No error message occurs when the program stops. It just stops. If I click on the Multiquence window or encoder window a couple of times, the header says Not Responding and it mu...

Encoding quits in XP 64
Using Windows XP 64 on Athlon 64 X2 4600 platform, Asus M2N-E mobo, 2GB PQi PC6400 RAM, Sapphire X1800XT video, and K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.55 for MPEG-2 and DVD decoding/encoding, the encoding of an edited video always quits below 10% complete. I have tried every video format including Raw. It doe...

Chris, thank you for replying. I tried the Speed adjustment, changing the audio track to 0.99930 (if I remember correctly) to make it seven seconds longer over the two hour length of the video. The pre-playback synchronized almost perfectly. Then, I went through the ten hour save, and ended up with ...

Still no luck
I tried upgrading to the latest ffdshow but it does not include mpeg-2 decoding. I had to downgrade to the previous version, although this time I used the SSE-2 version which seems to allow slightly faster transcoding (6.2 fps as opposed to 6.1 fps average, bfd.) Audio and video are still out of syn...

As expected
The saved .mpg video is about seven seconds behind the audio by the end of the track. I had this problem some months back, but I can't remember if switching from Elecard to ffdshow fixed it or not. This time it is happening with ffdshow. Very puzzling.

SSDD
I just saved the audio track of the video as a .wav file of 1,522,856,492 bytes in length. I deleted the .mpg audio track from MQ and loaded the .wav audio. Now, on playback, the audio track is visibly in sync (the progress bar matches the audio scan) but by the end of the track, the video is over s...

audio/video out of sync after decode
I am having a problem with audio not synchronizing with video in Multiquence 2.54. For example, I record video from a television program using my workstation with an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon card, in DVD mode which produces an .mpg file with MPEG-2 format 720x480 NTSC (525) 61.76MB/m and audio 48KHz...

Good MPEG2 Decoder
I recommend using Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Decoder from www.vidlizard.com. It is a free install and instantly allows Multiquence to load full 720x480 Mpeg2 DVD video for editing.

Problem solved
I did not have the correct version of Lame installed. I must have downloaded a different version of Lame after I rebuilt after my recent disk failure. It may have been from a link on your site, but I do not remember for sure. Lame was installed on this new platform. I found the CD on which I stored ...

Informative
Thanks, very much. That does answer my questions. I think I neglected to install the MPEG-2 encoder that I purchased from Ahead for use with Nero Burning ROM. Multiquence still does not load DVD MPG2 video portion after the installation, but it may require a reboot that I cannot perform at this time...

No more alternate codecs?
I recently installed the latest version of Multiquence 2.5.3 (registered). I had to rebuild my boot drive due to a hardware failure. In my previous platform, I could save an MPEG-2 file from TV video from my ATI All-In-Wonder card, and edit it directly in Multiquence. I don't know if this was due to...
