Sorry to be so long in getting back. I'll have a look at zooming.
The sweeps were make in GW, REW and HOLMImpulse for comparison. Linear vs log for sure show different peaks levels.

Spectrum display peak values. Log vs linear
I use the spectrum display frequently (excuse the pun) and like it. However I have noticed something odd in the way it displays peak values. Have a look at a log sweep vs a linear sweep. You'll see that the peak values of the linear sweep are all the same value across the bandwidth, as they should b...

Re: Trouble with Frequency Modulation
Yes, tremolo is closer to what I need and I've been working on tweaking that. Thanks!

Re: mic settings
DougDBug has given some great advice and trouble shooting tips. Those BM-700 or NW-700 mics are funny. They look so fancy and cost so little. :) They do require power, and that has to be supplied from your soundcard. If the mic is working, it's getting power. I think most of these will work on anywh...

Re: Trouble with Frequency Modulation
Thanks Doug. Yeah, after I posted I thought better of that "depth of modulation" request. That works for AM, not for FM. If you get a chance, take a look at what the FM preset does. You'll see that no matter what your staring level is, the result is pushed up and compressed to 0dB. ...

Trouble with Frequency Modulation
I'm have amplitude problems using the FM effect in the Expression Evaluator. It always clips the signal to be modulated. For Example: A file with a 3000Hz sine wave, peaks at -6dB. Use EE and apply FM at 11Hz. Now the signal is slammed right up to 0dBFS. It does not matter what the level of the sign...

Re: Batch Mix to a single file
LOL, yeah. Sometimes working out the batch script takes more time to tweak than doing the work by hand.
But in this case I want to mix anywhere from 12 to 50 files into a single file. And do that more than once.

Batch Mix to a single file
Hi, I'd like to use Batch to mix a large number of files together. I've done some reading of mix/merge thread from 2014, but am still unclear as to how to merge or mix the files. Here is what I want Batch to do: Mix file to mono Reduce peaks to -12dB Copy full track Mix into a common file, for examp...
