OldVersion.com has back to version 2.1 in their archive (and only 0.3 MB!).

I started back around version 4.26 myself, and bought it when 5.0 came out and I really started to use it then.

Batch merge?

Is there anyway to have a batch merging one file to a list of files? For example, adding file 1 to files 2 to 10?

I can't seem to find a way, unless I'm being really dense today....

GBS file conversion?

I have a cartridge that lets me use my Game Boy Advance as a music player. It does ok, but it has to convert the music to a .GBS file format. The software that comes with the cartridge is ok, but slow and I would rather do it in GoldWave. Any idea if this can even be done? Or am I just dreaming? ;) ...

Chris, I like GW just the way it is visually. All those skins do is eat up memory that I could use to open bigger audio files! :) Plus, I like the fact that just because you tuned up the engine so to speak you didn't "pimp up" the exterior to make it look faster. Just keep up the good work...

GoldWave used in analysis of Armstrong comments on the Moon!

I just found an article here about how researchers used GoldWave to analyze Astronaut Neil Armstrong's first words said on the Moon. Analysis with GoldWave shows that he did say "One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind." Pretty cool guys, you are now given as proof in a scient...

You might also want to check if your mike input is muted if you have a mike attached. I have had a few other programs that would do this if the mike wasn't muted. It must have been picking up the sound from the speakers, thus creating an echo.

Hope this helps,

That is what I was afraid of. I have a bunch of Old Time Radio shows I'd love to clean up and improve, but I don't have anything besides my old computer and Gold Wave and Nero. I love the flexability of GW vs the Nero Wave Editor since it is so much more flexible. Well, maybe this post will give som...

Band Extrapolation

Ahead's Nero Wave Editor program has a Band Extrapolation tool that lets you enhance dull sounding files by attempting to recreate the high and low harmonics that may have been cut from a recording. From the program help file: Band extrapolation improves the sound of dull recordings. This is done by...
