Overall task is to get 40 recordings of my spoken numbers, one to forty. The subject task is something I''ll have to do occasionally during this. (But I'm also curious why the way I did it doesn't work.)

I'd just try noise with a low-pass filter and boost the volume as needed. Noise is random and it should theoretically contain components down to zero Hz. Thanks Doug. Sorted! I missed the optional check box Include all subfolders in the smal Add Folders dialog.

But is there no way to do this by initially dragging the set of folders into a GoldWave batch processing dialog? I had to first set up a new souce folder and place my target folders in that.
