Files take longer to save after microsoft automatic update
Hello, I have encountered a problem with goldwave file save. It used to save a file in about a second. Now it sometimes takes a second but a lot of times it can take up to 2 minutes or more to save a 3 minute sound file(78 rpm recording). Here is what happened. I was using goldwave and the microsoft...

Why does every new version reset the default pre-sets?
Hello, every time I download a new version of goldwave the default pre-sets are re-set to factory settings. Why is this? I do not use the goldwave default settings, I change them to reflect my preference for default settings. Thanks, Bob

cannot record with version 5.68
Hello, version 5.66 worked great. The same thing happened when I tried version 5.67-so I went back to 5.66--I record music from a record player. I downloaded 5.68 but now it does not record. What do I need to do to record again? Thanks, Bob

Temp files showing up anywhere
Hello, It seems that the temp files created by Goldwave for editing show up anywhere. This is a problem when I try to make a cd because I load the whole folder and record it. I have to wait for the temp file to go away before I can make a CD. Is there a way to automatically place these files into a ...

Re: Is Saving Pre-sets off program possible as a plug-in?
Wow!! Mucho thanks Gord. This helps immensely--I have now backed them up on disc and emailed them to myself.--Easy when you know how! I wish I would have known how to do this before my last hard drive crashed. I have not figured out how to use keyboard commands yet..I will embark on this in the futu...

Is Saving Pre-sets off program possible as a plug-in?

Re: How can l remove the pop/click at the end of a recording
I use the "maximize volume" feature for this-Highlight the area at the end where no noise should be- Simply move the slide all the way to left.(-80bd).

Re: Recording 78 rpm records at 33 or 45 rpm
Hello all and thanks for the response chsiegel, it is appreciated. I had been intending to update this thread. First of all - I do have a 78 rpm player--my reason for recording them at slower speeds is that some of them are warped and the needle bops at fast speeds so i record some of them at 33rpm ...

Re: Editing Voice / The Shadow
Please provide a link-The internet archives can be difficult to search sometimes if the submitter does use the right keywords-I cannot find the episode you are referring to. I can make a suggestion that may or may not help you. Try using the mono-mix feature in the channel mixer if you are recording...

Play noise only button
Hello, I would like to see a "Play noise only button", while editing with the noise reduction. It would let you hear exactly what you are deleting from the song. I edit a lot of 78rpm records. You can hear exactly where the point is that you are removing actual music or just noise. I have ...

Re: using time warp
Lenny-Just click on the help button on the top right of the tool bar-then click manual-it's in there. I record many 78 rpm records at 33 rpm then speed them up with time warp. If you know the speed that you recorded at, it is a simple mathematical equation. For instance for 78 rpm records recorded a...
