Re: Batch Detect Silence

Excellent! Yep its running the batch cancelling each one but still reporting on the one sound file with no sound. Here is the final logic:

Thank you everyone and especially the GW team for coming through with the tech support! :D

Re: Batch Detect Silence

While that could perhaps help, the effort just to check by convert everything in my workflow would be time consuming: its easier just to allow it to convert the files each time while I observe, the clear the list, and do it again each time. Thanks DewDue for the possible workaround. :)

Re: Batch Detect Silence

So I can get it to cancel or continue showing at the end which one has the 0 length but the problem is it still always dumps files (rather than detects them during the processing). Its because of the Destination Tab - there is no way to prevent it from dumping. Everything else is working perfectly b...

Re: Batch Detect Silence

I agree but would that only occur when zero length files are found in the batch but not for files that are ok? I won't dump the zero length files but it will all others.

Re: Batch Detect Silence

I have but then I have to re-do the batch anyway to continue re-checking but, regardless, it will still dump files rather than just scan.

Re: Batch Detect Silence

Thank you GW team! Using your recommendation, I am testing with a wav file with no sound in the entire batch as a test... my current script is as follows: Silence Reduction Eliminate all silences Conditional If T = 0, [X!] This seems to work as when it hits the one file with no sound within it termi...

Re: Batch Detect Silence

I have.. for years.. but when I looked at the latest Goldwave build I do not see such a facility/logic section that can detect volume levels in a batch. As a temp stop-gap measure I created a script in the freeware Audacity which does the same and works perfectly BUT the app is a resource hog and sl...

Batch Detect Silence

Something I was meaning to do but I have a large list of sound files I need to batch detect any of them which do not have any sound applied (so they are silent or v.low volume). Goldwave seems to be the perfect engine to do this batch work as it works so incredible fast compared to the competition. ...

Re: 6.60 Effects Chain Bug + Batch Feature Request

The chain will be applied to the file in the next update. Excellent! The bug you mentioned about cycling through the chains hasn't been reported before. More information would be needed to replicate the bug consistently so that it can be fixed. Possibly one of the chains contains effect settings th...

6.60 Effects Chain Bug + Batch Feature Request

Since 6.60, when I load a sound file then launch the Effects Chain Editor then create or use an existing Chains Preset then click OK it does not apply the Effect to the currently loaded sound file like it always has been. Also, noticed that as I use each new version that under the Effects Chai...

Re: Mix / Join / Merge Sound files to another Sound File

Understandable... I know asked for this feature to directly double-click over any of the Effect, Chain, or Edit column options so we can change them directly rather than having to re-create a new one to tweak the setting. In the Comment column, you can still double-click and edit it so that would st...

Re: Mix / Join / Merge Sound files to another Sound File

Actually. the Mix -5dB Edit actually does change only the volume of the Copied File (my sample sound FX file being applied to all the other batched sound files) so that works very well so no need to make any changes. :P One feature request.. Can the Goldwave dev team consider adding the ability in t...

Re: Mix / Join / Merge Sound files to another Sound File

Something else came up. For the start of each sample, how do I "FadeIn" just the single FX sample being fixed in under the command: Copy <path to single FX file to mix as background>. Does this look right? Set Marker/Selection [0] - [->M] Copy <path to single FX file to mix as background> ...

Re: Mix / Join / Merge Sound files to another Sound File

Thank you for your help here, Goldwave Team! Ok so when I have it look like this: Set Marker/Selection [0] - [->M] Copy <path to single FX file to mix as background> LOOP Mix -5dB Set Marker/Selection [}-0] [}+0] Conditional If T > }, ->LOOP Set Marker/Selection [0] - [M->] Set Marker/Selection [}-1...

Re: Mix / Join / Merge Sound files to another Sound File

Quick followup.. So everything is working now with the batching and mixing the single FX file to the background.. only issue is now the FadeOut. Problem: its fading the entire selection and NOT the mixing single FX in the background OR just fading at 1 second at the end. Is there a way to only selec...
