Re: Recorded file disappeared

When I am going to work on a file, I copy it, name it, SAVE IT and put it away where I can find it later.
I then save the copy... and then work on it. If I am going to make several changes, I save after every few changes so don't lose my work if something goes wrong.

Re: During Conversion I'm losing Metadata

Some CDs do no have the tags the same format as others. The way they should be arranged is: Artist - Title. mp3 . Example: Mario Lanza - Devil Went Down To Boise.mp3 I use the Nightingale mp3 app to play tunes on this Windows 10 computer... and it features a very user friendly tagging utility. https...

Re: Abnormal Termination?

I enabled Format Plug Ins and Wave Audio Compression Manager and reinstalled version 6.47 and all is well now.

Thank You! I use GoldWave a lot and greatly enjoy the wonderful product you have made available. I Thank You for offering the most user friendly product of it's kind on the market.

Re: Abnormal Termination?

Okay, I opened GoldWave Settings Options. Neither of those were enabled. The only option that was checked is Open All Files In The Same Instance.

I am a bit leery of changing that simply because I don't know enough to get myself out of a ditch if it turns out to be a bad move.

Re: Abnormal Termination?

Ha Hah... Thanks.

I'm glad I save the download links. I uninstalled 6.47 and replaced it with 6.41 and everything is working properly now.

That suggests to me that the problem is not with Windows 10 or my computer.

Re: Abnormal Termination?

I'm baaaaack...

It worked for a few minutes. One brief recording. And now it is back to popping up a window that says "Abnormal Program Termination"... and refusing to work properly.

And I was so happy...

Re: Abnormal Termination?

I've used Goldwave for many years now and, so far, have managed to not be plagued by problems that others have experienced. The Windows 10 update of months ago that I mentioned was the first... and obviously a Windows induced problem. *** I paused after writing the above and uninstalled Goldwave 6.4...

Re: Abnormal Termination?

Yes. I've been using Windows 10 since it first became available. I had trouble with Windows 10 after an update several months ago in which they decided we should always leave the Windows mic on... when previously, for a program like Goldwave to work, we had to make sure the Windows mic was turned of...

Abnormal Termination?

With V 6.47 I cannot enter my license information. I did that successfully the first time I loaded 6.47 but when I tried to open a new window in which to record, I got a pop up box informing me of an Abnormal Termination. I loaded up an earlier version and have been able to use that just fine. But V...

Re: How to play full song beyond end of marked interval?

I may not be understanding your question properly, if not please forgive my intrusion: Open Goldwave. Push F11, which opens the control "Control Propeties" window. Click the "Play" tab. Under Play 1 or Play 2 or Play 3 you have the word "Selection". Next to that, there ...

Chris...
Thanks for the info. Now I know I am not crazy, because it was right after a Windows 10 update that the problems began for me recently.

Re: How to enable Stereo Mixer in Windows 10 1803 OS 17134.1

Scopio... I recently had a problem develop that meant I could not record. It drove me nuts. I checked to be sure I had not made any physical changes to my setup that might have created the problem. I tried various malware removal tools and had no luck. I played around with the Goldwave settings (F11...

Re: Unable to record

Chris... Thank you very much for caring and offering me the reasonable and appropriate suggestions. I have done those things over and over again, checking and double checking and wondering what I've missed. I've been through every menu I can find looking for anything that might be the problem. This ...
