Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
Just highlight the noise and click Copy. That puts the "noise fingerprint" into the GoldWave clipboard.
Now, highlight the whole file, and choose the Use Clipboard option.

Re: Remove a tone that runs through a video
If you've got a section with noise-only try the Noise Reduction filter. (You feed it a sample of noise-only and it tries to remove it.) Or, a Bandstop filter will remove a range of frequencies. (A steep-narrow bandstop filter is called a "notch filter" and you can configure the Bandstop li...

Re: Flac ripping issue
...I've never tried it either. As a work-around you can rip to WAV and then use Kabuu Audio Converter (or similar) to convert to FLAC. Kabuu Audio Converter is FREE open source, and once you've set-up your output format and output location you can drag-in a folder full or files (or more) and convert...

Re: Question about auto recording ...
Sorry, but I've never used that feature. I do see a "minimum duration" option so I assume it's going to stop recording some time after the sound stops. The low level is probably a hardware issue. GoldWave is getting the Audio from your soundcard and Windows. You can adjust the recording vo...

Re: Question about auto recording ...
Possibly. Have you downloaded the free trial? If you go to Options-> Control Properties -> Record, you'll find a check-box labeled Level Activated. ...I'm not sure how practical it is to have a computer connected and running GoldWave all of the time, but that's up to you. And, you'll need a computer...

Re: Sustain a note
You can try some Reverb. Just select the last beat or two. I think you'll have to add some silence after the sound cuts-off, to leave space for the reverb. And/or Echo. Again one or two beats, and set the delay time for one or two beats so the tempo matches. Both of those effects "layer" o...

Re: I am a new member here and I have a request
It depends on what the problems are, and how bad. If you have a bad recording there is often little or nothing you can do. Pros still record in soundproof studios with good equipment, professional performers and good microphone placement, etc., because even with pro software there's only so-much you...

They will email your license codes and you enter it via Options -> Register . (You can just copy & paste.) Occasionally the email might get blocked by your spam blocker so if you don't get it check your spam folder. There is a "lost license" form here and/or there is a link to a web-e...

Here is the official purchase page . The lifetime license is $59 USD. I've had a license for more than 20 years so I'm not sure about the details. You can click on the price button without checking the PayPal box and I assume you can use a credit card. ...Back when I bought GoldWave I had a choice ...

Re: Including additional metadata in File Information
I use MP3Tag after I have the individual files. (It works with all the common formats, not just MP3.) You can optionally select all of the files in a folder to enter the album title, artist, genre, year, etc., and then enter the individual song titles & track numbers, etc. It doesn't take long a...

There are 8-bits in a byte so 30 kilo bits per second is 3.75 kilo bytes per second or 225kB per minute. (That doesn't include any embedded artwork.) You can check the format before & after with MediaInfoOnline (or you can install MediaInfo on your computer). ...We usually don't "talk about...
