Thanks
Open GoldWave, and at the top click Window | Classic Control. That should correct the problem.

Re: Also interested in using foot pedal

P.S. I have version 5.08 I think that may be your problem. Foot pedal support wasn't available until 5.11. I suggest you download the latest version and try seeing if your foot pedals will work. Once the latest verion is installed, open up GoldWave, press F11 , and go to the Device tab, and at the ...

Re: unbound recording

Can anyone shed some light on how Goldwave is supposed START recording an "unbound" recording, the end time of which is not known? Thanks. Yours, Thor I'm definately not sure why it didn't record using the unbounded method. The steps you mention it does look that it was done correctly. Ma...

The pictures for the manual are a seperate download for registered users only. If you're registered, go to the following link and download the file. Hope that helps. http://www.goldwave.ca/dl.php If you're not registered, I would suggest doing so. GoldWave has been the best money I ever spent on a p...

Re: How to 'spin the record?'

Any suggestions how I could do this effectively to sound like spinning the record on a real turntable? How about the preset under doppler called "Spin the record?" (It's the effect button all the way to the left under "New", or by going to Effect|Doppler). Using that preset in v...

Is there any way to change settings on the GW so that right-click creates a finish marker?

Thanks,

Re: Where is Backu/restore feature of 5.13?

The changelog states: "Backup/restore buttons for settings under Setup". ....Would be very usefull, but where is it? The backup/restrore buttons are not in the GoldWave program at all. To access it, click on the Windows Start button | Programs | GoldWave |GoldWave Setup , and you should f...

Re: Still no recording!

I have the connector in the blue computer in-line and in the headphone (out) on the recorder. Nothing is recording. :?: If you didn't do so already, this might be the problem. Press F11 to bring up the Control Properties window, and select the Volume tab on the top. Next check the box that says &qu...

Not sure what may be causing the problem, but I think you can change the server by going to Tool | CD Reader | click on the Options tab, and under CD Database Options, there should be a box for changing the server. Hope that helps. Sarge Edit: Sorry, I don't know the server address, if thats exactly...

I'm assuming you're using the Shareware version of GoldWave. In that case, the only way (as far as I know), is to register the program.

Re: Skipping while Playing Audio

In v5.12, when I am playing audio in Goldwave and then move the highlight-selection-box, the music will skip to where I moved the selection. This didn't happen in v4.26. How can I make that stop? Thanks. If you right click the play buttons on the control panel, and set one of them to "All"...

I then went to Options, but I did not see the "Plug-in" feature. I'm using v4.26. What am I doing wrong? You did everything correctly, but I believe that the plug in(s) only works with version 5 of GoldWave. Download the latest version of GoldWave (5.12), and you should have no trouble ru...

Re: Window focus interferes with zooming

However, every time I click "play" to test a loop, the focus moves from the current sample to the control panel, and my mouse wheel is no longer able to zoom in and out of the sample, so I have to click in the sample window to get my mousewheel working again. Moving back and forth all the...

Re: PS

To answer your first question see this post: http://goldwave.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?t=784&highlight= . The answer to this can be found in the manual, but I'm not positive it is in the F1 (contents) help file. To answer your second question, you can use the "Silence Reduction" option (...
