Re: sharing presets ...
There is no built-in way to do that in GoldWave. It can be done using the Windows RegEdit program to export the preset to a file so that it can be imported by someone else, but that is not recommended since settings may vary from one version of GoldWave to the next. Unless you are working with detai...

Re: How to use AUTOFADE to cut off music?
Autofade is designed for voice over work where you need to fade the background audio when many voice sections are present. To fade out the end of a song, you'll need to use the Effect | Fade graph command to display the fade line in sections, then click on the line or drag the points to change the s...

Re: Next version of GoldWave?
There are currently about 40 changes, improvements, fixes, and features to be done before the next release. There are a couple of new effect plug-ins being worked on as well to be released around the same time. The plan is to have everything ready by the end of the year. Disclaimer: The type of cale...

Re: I tried again...
If you want to save as AVI, you may need to use the Indeo, Cinepak, or MJPEG video encoders. The best solution is to install the free DivX encoder, which will give better quality and compression than the ones included with Windows.

Re: How to match audio and video sections?
Click on the music section so that it is selected, move the marker (click on the time line/axis) to the place where you want to trim the music, then use Edit | Trim end . Another approach is to double-click on the music section to display the options, select the "Part of sound" option, the...

Re: Sound Mix
When playing multiple MP3 files in Multiquence, the problem is caused by the L3CODECA.ACM Windows module. Some audio programs improperly replace the standard file with their own older version or replace it with L3CODEC X .ACM or L3CODEC P .ACM, which should not be installed. You can use RegEdit to s...

Re: how can i make a clip sound old n scratchy?
Try the Expression Evalutor tool with the "Vinyl" preset under the Noise branch. Also try the "Thin" preset under the Equalizer filter effect.

Re: May I modify the cue list in visual plug-in
Visuals are designed to be read-only plug-ins for display purposes only. Modifying the file (cue points/info) through visuals cannot be supported in the SDK. You could probably force it to do it, but the cue points would not be displayed correctly in the Sound window and the file's modified status w...

Re: Vox Formats
Some loss in quality is unavoidable when saving in that format. When creating a new file for recording, be sure to select 8000Hz as the sampling rate. That will avoid a rate conversion later. Make sure the recording volume level is as high as possible, without overloading. Also maximize the volume w...

Re: Recording backwards
Some high end programs can process video files to create a reverse video (possibly Premiere or Vegas). If you have a VCR that plays clear video in reverse at normal speed, then that would work as well.

Re: Can Multiquence record backwards?
Video files are encoded in such a way that it makes decoding them in reverse difficult. Usually only differences from one frame to the next are stored. To play in the forward direction, you start with the first frame (key frame), then add the differences between frame 1 and 2 to recreate the frame 2...

Re: skipping while playing
Having an "emulated" sound driver installed would cause that kind problem. Using Windows Update or contacting the manufacturer to get the latest driver is the best solution. The "High latency..." option in GoldWave can reduce the problem if a non-emulated driver is unavailable. P...
