When you have your screen resolution set higher, the size of the buttons on the toolbar will appear smaller, maybe making them a little hard for him to read and/or access with the mouse since he has his resolution set at 1600x1200. That's just my guess.

To mix 2 sound files together, press Ctrl + M or go to Edit | Mix . This will bring up the mix feature. Note: You might have to change the volume (Effect | Volume | Change volume) and make one (or both) of the files louder/quieter to achieve a good, understandable mix. Otherwise, once mixed together...

Re: auto center view?

i've been looking all over for this feature. is there a way to keep the currently playing or recording position centered in the main window, instead of constantly having to manually pan right to see it? many thanks for any help! Press the Scroll Lock key (near F12), that should do the trick....

Re: ok, dont shoot me...

but where do i find plug-ins, what are they and how do i get them into my GW? Plug ins can be found here: http://goldwave.ca/plugins.php Since you're also into VO's, the GWVoice plug in has a cool feature especially for voice overs, that you might find useful. Upon getting them into GoldWave, they'...

How can i install it within GW so i can save in MP3 again? I'm not sure on what you did when you downloaded it again, but all you need is the LAME_ENC.DLL file in your GoldWave directory. It won't work with the just the LAME program installed. Just make sure that file is copied into the GoldWave di...

November 2005 (GoldWave 5.12) is the most current manual, but in case you need to download or upgrade your manual in the future, you can go here: http://www.goldwave.ca/dl.php

Mike,

Press F11 to bring up the Device Properties, then click on the Volume tab to bring up the controls for GoldWave's input levels. Hope that helps.

Re: Screwed up the settings

Hi, I'm a newbie to Goldwave. I was trying to convert one of my fav. songs to a .wav format when I accidently set the speed way too fast. How do I get it back to normal? Does anyone know? Also, Whenever I go to record my sound file the volume bar is too high. I keep turning the volume down on Goldw...

I used to be in the service back in the late 80's - early 90's and I'd be interested to know if our paths might have crossed. 9thP No, I haven't been in the service, although my dad was in the Air Force for 22 years (retired Senior Master Sargeant). The name Sarge actually goes way back to the bull...

When you click "new", a window will pop up which will allow you to specify the length of time you want to set to record, as well as the number of channels, and sampling rate. If you are really unsure how long you want to record, just right click on the red record button, and click "Un...

Might be a little hard for me to explain since there isn't a keyboard shortcut for it, (at least I don't think there is?), but I'll give it a go... To access a larger window, which will appear as a "windowed video", look on the far right hand side of the screen in the master control area. ...
