Re: how to open a aac file in goldwave ?
Hello Michael, this might help you. There is another way which is rather basic. Set Goldwave up to record “Loopback audio” in the “Devices” dropdown box and open a new fileto record to. If you play your aac file in the VLC player, you should be able to record into Goldwave. Make a test recording to g...

Re: Garbled Audio - "Use DirectSound API" / "Use Core Audio/WASAPI"
I only resample if I am going to make a CD. I just save everything at 48000 for everything now. I only change to 44100 If I want to make files for a CD, I make copies first, resample the copies and save them with a different name. Same thing with making MP3's, copy the original, convert and save wit...

Re: Garbled Audio - "Use DirectSound API" / "Use Core Audio/WASAPI"
I used to have the sample rate set at 44100 until this effect happened and I tried out different rates until 48000 worked. I just leave it set at 48000 now and resample to 44100 if I want to make a CD (nearly never). The issue first appeared when I wanted to stream some live audio off the internet. ...

Re: Multiple Audio sources
What you can do is to save the screen capture and then open it in Videomeld. Open a new track (Ctrl+insert). Go to the "Record" drop down menu and select "Audio" and the input source EG. microphone. Playback is as normal. The help file will guide you here. When you play the scree...

Re: Garbled Audio - "Use DirectSound API" / "Use Core Audio/WASAPI"
It is to do with the sampling speed setting. I have "quality" set to 48000/1/32 and shared in the control properties window but your settings may not going to be the same as this. Experiment to find the right one. Hope this helps.

Ok then, try this:- Go to “options” and select “Video Aspect Ratio” and scroll down and select 9:16. Now import your video and select “Video Effects” (click onto the yellow star) and choose “Crop/Pan/Zoom”. Keep aspect ratio on. Choose Stretched mode. On the trial video I tried here I Entered 0.210 ...

Load the video and click on the yellow “effects” star. Now hit the green “+” button. Go to “size, position, and orientation effect and then choose “Rotate/scale” and in the custom settings window, enter “-90”.

Re: Recording stops after 5 seconds of silence
That explains why I do not have that problem now. Have connected a Samson mixer using it's USB input. Goldwave now records via the PC line input from the mixer which gets it's input via the USB port.

Re: Recording stops after 5 seconds of silence
Just seen your post. I have seen this pause effect as you described. Did a recording check after installing the new ver 6.55. Seems to be OK now. It did not pause at all with no audio input now. Sometimes odd things happen.

Drop down the effects menu and scroll down to "volume". Choose fade out and there you are. You can find this shoetcut on the toolbar as well.

Re: Importing cuepoints
Thank you for this addition to Videomeld, it has made it easier for me to determine where to edit the tracks. I play the tracks in Goldwave and with our choral lady present we can put in cue points where needed for where cuts will be made then adjust tempo and pitch for the vocalists. Later, I can o...

Re: Adding items to end of track.. (Items keep jumping elsewhere)
Not sure if this will help but have you tried pinning all previous images together using "Edit link selections" ? First, highlight all the sections which are in their correct places. Then hit "shift+control+l" Now place the blue marker to where you want to drop the new image and ...

Re: Mono Recording is Effed up
I had a similar experience and it turned out to be a conflict with the input sampling rate and the PC. Hit F11 and then devices and try the "record" settings. I have been using "Use device attributes" and "Quality (4400Hz / 2/ 32): maybe try a sample rate of 48000 Hz. The he...

Re: Solfeggio frequencies
Open a new file and then go to the "Expression Evaluator" button on the main toolbar and then when you get the drop down menu there, click on "Waves". Go to "Sine" and in the "f" box put in the frequency you wish to generate. click OK and there you have it.
