Re: Temp files showing up anywhere
Look in Options > Storage... and check the "Temporary Storage" settings. Is "Hard drive" selected and is there a valid path in the textbox immediately below?

Re: Stereo Mix
Given the rate at which the Stereo Mix option is disappearing you should consider yourself fortunate that it works at all. I have also found that I need to turn the master volume in Windows way up to get a decent level on a Stereo Mix recording. To accommodate that I will either... 1.Turn the...

Re: Enhancement request -- Storage Options
I'd like to request the addition of "start in current folder" so a save-as defaults to where the curent edited file resides. (then for the duration of the session, remembers any change of folder) I'm not entirely clear on what you mean. In my experience, File > Save As... always defaults ...

Re: Problem with Maximize
Hi Judy. Those thin lines are probably transient spikes in the waveform, likely the result of glitches in the analog-to-digital conversion process. I expect that they look something like this: http://imageshack.us/a/img803/2949/trh4spike.png If they only affect a small number of samples then they ma...

Re: Please Help w/old iPAQ audio files convertion
A quick Google search turned up a thread in another forum from 2004: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?5572-How-can-I-convert-sound-files-on-my-IPAQ-to-MP3 Can you open one of the .msg files in Notepad and confirm that the start of the file looks somewhat similar to the sample posted there,...

Re: BUG - Mono 'save as' defaults to stereo
For example, if I edit a mono file and then click 'save' , by default, i expect the file to be saved in it's current format (ie: as it was opened) ... and it does. But, when I use 'save as' (or 'save selection as') to save my work with a new name, it changes the format to stereo. Are you saying tha...

Re: how to record using mono in windows 7
what are the changes i should made in properties to get channel as mono, sampling rate 16kHz and with pcm 16 bits? First you need to use Effect > Resample... to re-sample the file at 16000 Hz, then you need to do File > Save As... and choose "PCM signed 16 bit, mono" for the new file's at...

Re: Windows 8
I'd suggest doing a web search to see if there is a keyboard shortcut for your machine to toggle Scroll Lock. For example, on some notebook keyboards with "fn" (function) keys [fn + Ins] will do the trick.

The "FFT algorithm" option will change the tempo without changing the pitch. For best quality, the "Oscillator synthesis" option is recommended.

Re: BUG - Mono 'save as' defaults to stereo
While I don't agree that this is a "bug", it would be a nice feature if GoldWave's default "Save As..." format matched the number of channels in the existing file. If you do most of your work with mono files you might consider changing the default format to mono via Options > Fil...

I was able to confirm this issue by creating a new WAV file in GoldWave.
