A question about mixing

Post by MacGyver »

How do I make two different sound files play alongside each other simultaneously? For example, I want to have music A playing at the same time as sound B. Is this possible? Perhaps I haven't phrased it correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

To mix 2 sound files together, press Ctrl + M or go to Edit | Mix. This will bring up the mix feature.

Note: You might have to change the volume (Effect | Volume | Change volume) and make one (or both) of the files louder/quieter to achieve a good, understandable mix. Otherwise, once mixed together, the 2 sound files may sound too garbled. Hope that helps.

Just in case it is not obvious, you'll need to copy one of the sounds to the clipboard first with Edit | Copy. You can then mix them as Sarge described.
