In the Open Sound window of GWave, MP3 files play at low quality (music recognisable, but less volume and crackling), as they do in Windows Media Player 10 (in my case). However, if the equivalent music as WMA is imported into GWave and converted to MP3 it plays correctly (high quality) while in GWave. Yet, back in WMPlayer 10 or in the Open Sound window of GWave it plays poorly again !!
I re-installed WPLayer 10, which includes its drivers, and this made no difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in anticipation.

MP3 files play poorly
Sorry chaps!
I have just noted that the MP3 files that played poorly (mentioned above) were those created in GWave. This was so because I had not downloaded the LAME codec as the Manual suggests! After doing this and re-converting the original WMA files to MP3, they all play well.
Soory again for wasting this spot.
