Increasing volume

Post by Pro »

Is there a way to pump up the volume in areas that are not so loud?
The maximize volume tool is great, but in increases everything at once. I would like the large areas to stay about the same, while the quiet areas pumped a little more.

You can either:

1. Highlight individual sections and apply the volume effect to that section alone, or...

2. Try using the Compress/Expand effect to push all volumes to a desired level across the recording.

Good luck!

Thanks, but each file is about 50 minutes long (so selecting each piece of the file would take weeks). Thats why I need something automated to bring up the lows and leave alone the highs.

Compression is automatic, although you will have to experiment with the presets/settings.

Or, the optional GWVioce Plug-In has an Auto Gain feature which might work better, depending on your source material.

GWVioce Plug-In wasnt that great. Compressor/expander works perfect after some tuning. Thanks
