I am using version 5.20 on Vista. When I tried to open a mp3 file, an error message showed up saying
Exception: Floating point division by zero.
[Address: 0x637B414A, Module: QuickTimeAudioSupport.qtx]
The software has been working fine. It's just recently that this error message shows up.
Any solutions???
Thanks for helping..!

Re: "Exception: Floating point division by zero"
Try updating to GW 5.55 and see what happens.
I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?
Re: "Exception: Floating point division by zero"
I see a "Quicktime" inside the message, it could be a mp3 tagged with iTunes. I had some problems with some files, but removing the cover art in iTunes beforehand did help.

Upgrade iTunes or QuickTime as well. There was a version of the Apple QuickTime decoder that caused floating point errors.
If that still does not help, you can use GoldWave Setup (from the Start menu) to check the "Ignore floating point errors" box.
