Using a standard feature in Goldwave 5.57 gives me an underflow message:

(new blank file)

Tools | Expression evaluator | Waves | Ding Dong | Play

Results in an Underflow error dialog box.

That can happen if the length of the file is too long. The file should be less than 5 second long. If you use a long file, the result of the expression becomes too small to represent in a 32-bit floating point value, giving an underflow error.
