I'd suggest doing a web search to see if there is a keyboard shortcut for your machine to toggle Scroll Lock. For example, on some notebook keyboards with "fn" (function) keys [fn + Ins] will do the trick.

GoldWave doesn't use the Scroll Lock key anymore. You'd need to check View | Auto Scroll Lock instead.
