Shut Down Error

Since the update before last (can't recall the version number but my latest is 5.6.8), whenever I shut down Goldwave, I get the "Goldwave Digital Audio Editor has stopped working" error window. I use Win 7 Pro on an HP dual core 64 bit engine. The error message is not correct because Goldwave actually does shut down completely.

Anyone with any ideas? Or anyone with the same problem?

After closing GoldWave, try using the Windows Task Manager to see if GoldWave is still listed in the "Processes" tab.

If you have the "Monitor input on visuals" turned on in GoldWave, turning that off may help to avoid problems with some sound drivers not closing.

"Monitor Input ..." is not checked.

When I close GW, and before I click the Windows "Close Program" dialog that comes up, the Goldwave process is still active according to Task Manager. It goes away when I click the Close Program dialog.

I'd attach a pic of the "Close Program" dialog box, but I don't see where I can attach anything here.

You can upload a screenshot to a service like

and then post the link here, or use BBCode's "Img" tags to imbed the image.
