Folks:
Is there a way to set the default record format for the F9 ControlRecordNew command? Mine always seems to default to stereo 44.1. I'd like it to default to mono.

Re: Default Format New File
Try this: In GoldWave, click
Options > File Formats... > Default Save Format
choose a "mono" format, and enable the "Use this format for Save As, Save Selection As, and Copy To" option.
The file will still be initially recorded in stereo, but when you go to save it the default format will be the "mono" format you specified above.

Yep, I've done that and indeed am saving in mono. But shouldn't I also be able to record in mono? I'm doing a voice track with a single microphone and it seems a waste of real estate to display a dead channel not hooked up to anything.
