How to Batch Convert and Trim from Beginning and End

Post by alex20850 »

I have about 100 mp3 files that I need to trim a minute 30 seconds from the beginning and a minute from end of each file.
I have looked at Batch Convert, but I don't see how to do it.

You'd probably have to define a preset that batch convert could recognize. Is it possible to define a preset for trimming?
I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?

You'll need use the "Add Edit" button to add a "Set Marker/Selection" command first to set the finish marker at 30 seconds. You'd then add a "Trim" command to remove everything else. Optionally you can use the "Add Effect" button to add the "Faded ends" preset for the "Shape Volume" effect to fade out the trimmed ends. (avoids pops/clicks).

Be sure to set a different destination folder so that the original files are not changed.
