Waveform on a clear background?

Is it possible to set up GoldWave so that, while recording, the waveform was displayed on a plain (black, white, green or blue) background please, i.e. without the grid.

I would capture that as a short video, import it into my video editor and make the background transparent, so that I could superimpose the waveform over an image or video.

Just realised that removing the grid wouldn't work anyway, as GW does not display a dynamic waveform.

You can select the Waveform visual in the Control window. That is a realtime waveform displayed on a black background.

Thanks!

I assume I cannot remove the unwanted lower display? Best I can do so far is to make it blank.

You should be able to use the video editing software to crop the capture so that only the waveform is shown. You can resize the Control window in GoldWave to make the visuals as large as possible.
