I have a lot of files where I need to censor words.
I would like to use the effect - censor - gibberish for that.
But it seems it's only possible to create a shortcut for effect - censor.
But then I need to select "gibberish" from the drop down every time.
Is there a way to create a shortcut for gibberish directly or at least make it the default option in the effect - censor window?

Re: Keyboard shortcut for censor - gibberish
You can change the default settings for any effect. Simple choose the settings you want, then enter "Default" in the Presets box and choose the [+] (add preset) button.
Note that updating GoldWave will reset all default presets, so create a copy of your settings under a different name so that you can restore your default after updating.

Alternatively, if you have a programmable keyboard like the Logitech G15 or an Elgato Stream Deck; you can program a macro key with multiple steps that can get you to do the things you want to do. You mainly need to set a key shortcut to the censor page for GoldWave, then call it with the macro keyboard and assign the steps to the key. Doing it with the Elgato, is easy once you get the hang of it.
