I'm sure I used to know how to do this, but time passes, so ...
I'm recording voice using my USB desktop microphone. Everything works fine, but I want to apply equalization. Easy enough: record the voice passage, highlight it and apply an Equalizer filter I've saved as Home Voice. All is well - but I've had to take an extra step in having to apply the filter after the recording. I want the microphone input to have that preset inherently.
How can I configure a fixed preset anytime I use the mic? Can't find a place to do it either in Recording or Device options.
Thanks for any help provided.
Edited to make clearer (hopefully)

Re: Microphone input equalization preset
Effects can be applied post-production only, so there is currently no way to add an effect to a live recording in GoldWave. Some sound drivers include an equalizer you can configure through the Windows Sound settings or it may be possible to add a third-party equalizer to a device.
Typically you'd want to do more than just equalization, such as overall loudness adjustments, which can only be done after recording. You can set up a Batch Processing preset to process all files after recording.
