Just thought I would share this....
I have a recording of a live performance by a singer songwriter that sounds pretty good except for some clipping on the louder parts. Not extended clipping, just a few peaks that sound horrible.
I was playing around with Goldwave, and I selected the offending sections and ran through the pop filter using the "agressive" pre-set. I repeated this 2 or 3 times for the selection and it fixed it! I don't know how this would work for an extended section of clipping, but for short bursts it worked wonders. Where I once cringed I can barely tell anything was wrong.
