Supported file formats?

Hi all - I'm new to video work, and I'm trying to make sure I understand Multiquence's supported file formats that I can import to make videos for my music.

I've seen on these forums that mp2 isn't supported. I've downloaded some mp4 files from archive.org and am able to work with those.

I see .avi is supported also.

.mov? Anything else? Is there a master list somewhere that I overlooked?

Thanks!

The kinds of video file type supported depends on what DirectShow video decoders are installed on your computer. If an MPEG2 decoder is installed (that does not decode directly to video hardware), then Multiquence will be able to open MPEG2 videos. MPEG2 video tends to be decoded to hardware for copy protection reasons to prevent copying DVD video.

Usually if you can play the file in Windows Media Player, then Multiquence can open it (except the hardware decoded ones). You can find DirectShow decoders for a variety of file types on the Free Codecs website.
