Windows 7 issue or drivers?

Post by mathyou9 »

I well aware of the many incompatibility issues people are facing with MQ and Windows 7; not sure this is one of them but I thought I'd throw it out there:

I recently upgraded to Windows 7. In MQ for me, the timeline displays the video still frames (as normal) but the preview screen only plays back as black (with audio). Since the timeline still frames are there, obviously the video is being "read" properly. But with the black preview screen not displaying video, I don't know if this is a driver issue or a MQ/Windows 7 issue.

That was mentioned some time ago. Something has changed in Windows that prevents Multiquence from rendering video. Unfortunately there probably won't be a solution until the next major rewrite of Multiquence, which still has a long way to go.
