Audio Ends Too Early

Hi,

I have a strange issue, maybe?

I have an audio production (about 35 minutes in length). Track #2 runs the entire time, but track #1 (an MP3 with the interview/vocals on it) stops about 10 seconds before the end. (There is no fading or panning - the track appears cut off before the end because the waveforms stop early.)

If I open up the audio track in GoldWave (my audio editor by default) the rest of the audio is there and plays fine!

Any thoughts? I tried recreating the audio track and also recreated a new MQP file. I'm thinking maybe there is a limit to the length of an audio segment but track 2 is about 5 minutes longer and plays fine. I'm stumped!

It looks like the part of the Multisequence program that draws the waveforms is off by 10 seconds.

Thinking outside of the box here to solve my issue for now... I added 10 seconds of silence to the end of my clip. Now the end of my interview plays okay but I notice there are no waveforms showing for the last 10 seconds (but the audio IS there.)

If you are using variable bitrate files, that would explain the problem. There may not be a way to quickly determine the exact length of the file. You could open the MP3 file in GoldWave and save it as Wave, then use the Wave file in Multiquence to see if that helps.

I try that out. Thanks Chris!
