Not sure but one way you could do it more manually is
using Ques, Edit>Cue Point
or shortcut key cntl+Q to set then then cntrl+j to Jump to it
just set to ques and you can jump right to them fast
-------------------
OR a more complex way would be to
selection a portion of audio
Cntl + C copy wav to clipboard to have something on clipboard
click the MIX
and it brings up the exact time code
copy that time code, click cancel
Left click to the end of the selection> then right click to the end of the wav
>do whatever you were going to do with it
then go click MIX again...PASTE the exact code again and mix it at -80 which mixes it at a mute but then magically will take you right back to the spot
right click at that spot then left click drag back to the left and that would essentially be a work around do deselect something...
-------------------
or another possible solution:
Select a part you want, copy it, go to Mix copy the exact time but hit cancle
Mute it
Paste New
go back to your new unselected parts you wanted and do what you want to it then paste the cut part back in the exact same time code

Inverting a selection could mean that there would be two selections. That isn't supported by GoldWave. There can be only one selection. If you want to select everything to the left of the current selection, you can press Ctrl+Shift+Home and then Shift+Home. To select everything after the current selection, use Shift+End and Ctrl+Shift+End.

Use Shift+M to store the current selection and Shift+R to recall it.
