TTA compession codes or plugin

Post by hualien »

Dear friends,
I have switched to Goldwave 5.10 and am very pleqsed with the
operation of it; it has solved some problems I experienced with
ver.4.xx.
I have just started using an audio wav file compresser called True Audio
(.TTA) files..loosless like flac and a bit smaller. The problem is the 24/96
wav files created in Goldwave 5.10 will not work with the TTA converter.
The 24/96 wav files created in Goldwave ver 4.xx do work in it. I am
trying to find out what the differance is. :?:
When the recording adjustment of Gold wave is switched to 16 bit, it will work with the TTA converter again.

Microsoft changed the RIFF WAVE specification to clearly define the format for 24 bit files. You'll need to ask the True Audio developers to support the WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE format tag.
